    Dear Community/Developers,

I am having an issue with Paralution’s CUDA backend on a Linux machine (Ubuntu14.04)
    When I run info_paralution I get this:
    ———————————————————————–
This version of PARALUTION is released under GPL.
By downloading this package you fully agree with the GPL license.
    Number of CPU cores: 32
Host thread affinity policy – thread mapping on every core
    PARALUTION ver B1.0.0
    PARALUTION platform is initialized
    Accelerator backend: None
    OpenMP threads:32
    ———————————————————————–

In order to use CUDA backend, I changed make file according to user manual and used make. I double checked the bashrc paths. But still, somehow, info_paralution gives Accelerator backend: None. My gpu is NVIDIA Tesla C2075 and Im using CUDA 6.5.

    Any idea about the problem?

    Thanks in advance,
    Murat

    Hi Murat,

    This sounds a bit strange.

You are using only the Makefile, right? No cmake? Did you uncomment the lines for -DSUPPORT_CUDA and the libs (It should be 79, 80, 81)? This will use the nvcc compiler. Does this go through?

    Best,

    Hi Dimitar,

Thank you for your quick response. I did exactly as you said.
But the problem is about logging out and in again because of bashrc I guess. I used ‘exec bash’ and ‘. ~/.bashrc’ commands but it seems they are not enough so logging out and in solved my problem.

    Best regards,
    Mahmut

    Hi Mahmut,

Perhaps you need to set the PATH to CUDA via the .bash_profile file (and not via the .bashrc file).

    Best,
    Dimitar
