    Hi,

    When trying to build Paralution on linux with Intel Xeon Phi and evaluation version of parallel_studio_xe_2017 I get the following error:

    …. src/base/mic/../../utils/def.hpp(68): catastrophic error: *MIC* cannot open source file “assert.h”
    #include <assert.h>
    ^

    compilation aborted for /……/src/base/mic/mic_allocate_free.cpp (code 4)
    make[2]: *** [src/CMakeFiles/paralution.dir/base/mic/mic_allocate_free.cpp.o] Error 4
    make[1]: *** [src/CMakeFiles/paralution.dir/all] Error 2
    make: *** [all] Error 2

    However the “missing” file exists in /usr/include. Also /opt/intel/bin/iccvars.sh has been sourced to set required env variables.

    Regards,
    Damian

    Hi Damian,

    The Xeon Phi is not fully supported. We use an older version of the ICC compiler and I guess they have changed something with the Phi…. Since we have very few Xeon Phi users we do not actively supporting this platform. I guess you have to debug it by yourself..

    Best,
    Dimitar
